The board and staff of the Forest Preserve Foundation offers a hearty thank you to  everyone, for their support of the 8th annual Conservation Cup!

Because of the generosity of sponsors, board members, friends and supporters, we exceeded our goal again this year, raising a total of $206,000! This success is due to the hard work and dedication of our Host Committee and every one of you. We are exceedingly grateful.

It was a beautiful day on the course. Two lucky foursomes got to play with retired Chicago Bears players, Otis Wilson and James Otis “Big Cat” Williams. The helicopter ball drop added more excitement. And the dinner program gave everyone a chance to hear from three young people who have benefited from Foundation support.

A surprise came at the end of the evening when Cook County Commissioner Jeffrey Tobolski announced that he is donating $5,000 to the Foundation from his annual golf event. "I'm pleased to name the Foundation as the nonprofit that will receive part of the proceeds from the Friends of Jeffrey Tobolski golf outing," the Commissioner said. "I commend the Foundation on the work it does to benefit the Forest Preserves of Cook County."

During the dinner program, the Foundation also unveiled its newest video.

Foundation board members and staff extend their gratitude to each of this year's sponsors, and all of our guests. We congratulate the top-scoring golfers and all who participated in the tournament. You are all winners. The success of the Conservation Cup is all because of you.

With gratitude,

Shelley A. Davis, President
